Whether your dog is recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or just loves to stay active, our events are a great way to support their health and meet other pet-loving families.

Stretch, Breathe, and Snuggle - Puppy Yoga at LVH

What an incredible night! Our first-ever Puppy Yoga event brought together over 115 participants for an hour of stretching, breathing, and, of course, snuggling adorable puppies. The room was filled with laughter, wagging tails, and pure joy as we blended mindfulness with puppy playtime.

A huge thank-you to the amazing puppy owners for allowing us to help with socialization and to the Lombard Park District for hosting us in their beautiful space. We can’t wait to bring more heartwarming, community-centered events like this to Lombard!

Step-TEMBER – The Month of September

Our amazing community went the extra mile this September: 22 participants logged 588 walks, totaling 385 hours and 667 miles! WOW — that’s a lot of walking! ?

Tails on the Trails – September 7, 2025, 9:00am - 4:00pm at The Morton Arboretum

This event featured over 40 vendors, adoption opportunities, and live demos. See our recap below!

Stance Analysis Workshop – August 9, 2025, 9:30am - 11:30am at 706 N. Industrial Drive, Elmhurst, IL 60126

Learn how dogs distribute their weight, the early signs of joint pain, muscle compensation and body asymmetry, and how rehab supports long-term mobility.

Beginner Scent Work Workshop – November 23, 2024

LVH’s Rehabilitation Department hosted a fall scent work event where dogs of all ages enjoyed engaging scent games, take-home guides, and fall photos. The workshop offered a fun way to strengthen bonds while giving pets safe, enriching mental exercise.

Rehabilitation Department Open House – February 25, 2025

LVH welcomed the community to celebrate the growth of our Rehabilitation Department with tours, success stories, and demonstrations of innovative therapies. Guests explored fitness programs, enrichment opportunities, and the future of pet rehabilitation.

LVH Run/Walk Club – Starting April 3, 2025

LVH launched its weekly Run/Walk Club, held every Thursday evening at 6:00 PM in the back field, open to all fitness levels, clients, dogs, family, and friends. The group enjoys casual fitness, socializing, and even participates in local races throughout spring, summer, and fall.

Lombard Arts & Crafts Fair – May 17, 2025

LVH connected with the community at Lilacia Park’s annual Arts & Crafts Fair, featuring 120+ vendors, food, music, and family fun.

Mutt Strut – May 17, 2025

LVH joined the Lombard Park District’s 20th Annual Lilac Time Run, where participants (and their dogs!) enjoyed fitness, camaraderie, and a celebratory pancake breakfast.

Cat Yoga – June 25 & July 12, 2025

In partnership with Cat Guardians, LVH hosted Cat Yoga where participants practiced gentle, all-levels yoga alongside adoptable cats. The series encouraged mindfulness while giving cats valuable socialization and adoption opportunities. See our fun recap video below!
