Dr. Nicolette Sliwa

Associate Veterinarian

Nicolette has been a part of the LVH Team since 2015 when she started out as a Doctor's Assistant. Nicolette graduated from Augustana College in 2017 where she majored in Biology and minored in History and Biochemistry. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Illinois in 2021. She chose the profession, as most vets do, because of her passion for animals she had ever since she was a little kid. Nicolette also enjoys the challenge of medicine in patients that don’t always speak our language! And while on the surface this may seem like an animal-only profession, she sincerely loves chatting with and educating clients, too. She is absolutely honored by the trust that gets put in her by owners both during wellness visits and when their fur kiddos aren’t always feeling their best. In her free time, Nicolette enjoys playing the saxophone, and guitar, and collecting Mold-A-Ramas. She is a big Chicago history buff and a die-hard Sox fan. She also has a tuxedo cat named Steve, who she adopted from LVH several years ago. Nicolette also has certification in RECOVER Initiative: Advanced Life Support from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and is also a Fear Free Certified Professional.
