Each year during the Winter Holiday Season, Lombard Veterinary Hospital proudly hosts our Giving With A Thankful Heart Pet Food Drive to support the DuPage Senior Citizens Council. This annual event helps provide much-needed food and supplies to seniors who may need extra support to care for their beloved pets.
Since launching the program in 2018, our amazing clients and community have donated more than 5,190 pounds of pet food and kitty litter. In recognition of this ongoing effort, we were honored to receive the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2023 from the DuPage and Kane Senior Citizens Council. 
We are currently accepting unopened and unexpired donations of:
- Dry and Wet Dog Food
- Dry and Wet Cat Food
- Treats
- Kitty Litter
- Poop Bags
Donations can be dropped off at our front desk during normal business hours throughout the holiday season. After the New Year, all collected items will be delivered to the DuPage Senior Citizens Council for Distribution to local seniors in need in both DuPage and Kane Counties.
