We would like to invite you to a three-part seminar series hosted by Matt Corvo, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and owner of Dogs Can Do Academy, who has put together what he believes to be the most important exercises, skills, and concepts in dog training that have been the keys to his success in working with basic obedience, manners, and behavioral issues in dogs.
Series One - Basic Obedience and Manners:
You will learn how dogs acquire new skills. You will learn how to train your dog to respond to basic cues like "sit," "stay," "down," "watch," and "come when called." As well as how to condition your dog to respond more appropriately to guests, leash walks, and visiting friends and family.
Join us on October 8th at 5:00 PM for this first of the three-part seminar series. Advance registration is required, and space is limited to the first 30 people who RSVP.
Series Two - Introduction to Behavioral Training:
Matt discusses how to read your dog's body signals to better understand their emotional state. How to help your dogs better cope with everyday stress and have an overall better quality of life.
The second of the three-part seminar series will take place on November 5th at 5:00 PM. Registration for this seminar will open on Friday, October 9th. Advance registration is required, and space is limited to the first 30 people who RSVP.
Series Three - Dog Reactivity:
A common issue that pet parents face is dog reactivity. Reactivity on its most basic level is when a dog has an intense emotional response, typically involving barking, that is not commensurate with an inconsequential occurrence. The presentation will focus on barking at other dogs, people, and even inanimate objects on leash, through the window, and in your own yard, as well as how to best train and modify such behaviors.
The third and final part of the seminar series will take place on December 3rd at 5:00 PM. Registration for this seminar will open on Friday, November 6th. Advance registration is required, and space is limited to the first 30 people who RSVP.
While you are welcome to come to one or all of the seminars presented, we would strongly encourage you to plan on attending all three. These talks are meant to be a series that progressively builds your knowledge and skill set to help both you and your canine companion have a better relationship and quality of life together.
